Christmas lights

I know some people put up their Christmas decorations at the beginning of December but that's too early for us - we'll probably do them at the end of next week. But as the Advent calendar is out we've put a single string of lights across the beam over the hearth just to break us a little bit into the festive mood.

I can almost hear all the shouts of "Bah - humbug...."
