First stop today was Moeraki Boulders which were very cool to see, not sure why they are there, keep meaning to google it!
We then set off straight off to Dunedin to see the worlds Steepest street....very steep but fun to attempt to walk up, a few tried running up it! (Apparently someone has ran it in under 2mins)
From there we went into Dunedin for lunch, a group of us went to Jutisu for Japanese which was nice, got to sit at a big table on the floor, surprisingly the chairs were comfortable! Then off to attempt to see the Albatross on the Otago Peninsula. Lovely afternoon, driven up the costal road been told about the areaand getting to stop and take pics, we then visited a Maori vilage, there were some locals there so we were allowed to go in the church which was interesting especially been told about the history by a Maori lady. Then in to the boat, we saw, blue penguins, fur seals, spotted shags (cormorants) spoonbills, terns, red beaked gulls, royal albatross and another albatross, shearwaters and Pied
Very cool an hour spent watching them surrounded by beautiful scenery. We got dropped off at the pub to wait for the others to get to camp and ended up staying there for a while as people joined us! I may have been a little bit drunk and agreed to do a Canyon Swing (although only if it was tandem with Amy the tour leader!) note to self put tent up before getting drunk in future!
