Winter series 1: Egyptian brick carrier

I have never liked bartering. It scares me! In fact when we go to Spanish markets and Jack tries to haggle the price down I go and stand around the corner. But in Cairo many years ago this little figure was slightly damaged and I very bravely stood by while my ex husband or my brother in law (can't remember who ) asked the man for money off. I wanted this little guy so much.

Over 30 years later he is still in one piece, carrying his bricks!
