London by night

We arrived at our hotel a good hour and a half before check in time, so we stored our cases and walked along to Greenwich Park. We climbed the hill to the Observatory where we found two Paddingtons, Paddington Who and Gravity Bear. We also found the winning images from Astronomy Photographer of the Year 2014 - some of them were absolutely stunning!

We went back to the hotel and checked in, dumped our stuff in our room, and went back out as we'd arranged to meet Caroline at the Tower of London for a photo wander, a pizza and a natter. Sadly, the last of the poppies had been removed earlier in the day. I'd left my tripod back at the hotel but luckily Caroline had 2 with her - thanks Caroline! It was a good evening and always great to catch up with her.
