Black Friday!
Well everyone heads to the store and we were no different. We bought flooring for one of the apartments.
We could have gone with our usual vinyl plank at $1.60sqft, but we found a national chain selling proper hardwood engineered floor for 99c.
The tenant taking the apartment will be with us for years, and they've taken care of the last apartment nicely, so no reason that they won't treat this with some respect as well. And they could be here for 10-20 years, so a hard wearing floor is probably best.
The flooring was cheap because the boxes contain b grade pieces of floor, probably 25% of them have an issue. The idea is that you cut the bits with the imperfections. Or put the imperfection where you know furniture will go - which is exactly what I'm going to do.
