Time for a rest

This young Robin was rummaging around the carpet of leaves lying on our patio in search of insects. At first all that could bee seen were the leaves moving around and the occasionally one being flicked into the air. Every so often he would hop up onto the flower pot for a short rest before setting off back into the pile of leaves in search of another snack.

A year ago it was a hedgehog doing the rummaging.
