essentials of gardening

Some time last year I was lucky enough to catch a beautiful French film, Dialog avec mon Jardinier - Conversations with my Gardener. I enjoyed it so much, I went to see it twice, the second time with my friend the gardener. I remember the gardener of the film explaining to his old schoolfriend that the two things a gardener should always have to hand are a knife and some string....in my case I would add tea and a wee tube of Savlon ( I am lethal with a knife!)
