Hard day's night ...
Now Thanksgiving is out of the way, the sellers of Christmas trees have quickly set up on the streets of New York. Spent some time today photographing and talking to the 3 people that run this outfit in Brooklyn. They have travelled down from Quebec, where the father is an arborist and does this in his off-season.
They literally stay on the street for 3 1/2 weeks ... sleeping in the three places captured in the photo; the little caravan, the car and the blue shed. Neither looked terribly cosy or warm on this cold and rainy night.
We bought our tree and set it up downstairs, and now the whole house is filled with the deep, heady scent of a winter forest. Just divine.
