Broken bridge.

This bridge which links Helmores Lane to Harper Avenue was the victim of earthquake activity. The dark area on the left side of the bridge shows a gap where the road sank by about half a metre. Four years on and there is still only pedestrian access on the right hand side. This bridge used to be a popular vehicle short cut to Hagley Park.
