Advent :)

Book club meet up in Saltaire this evening and on my way I thoroughly enjoyed day one of the Advent Windows. Every evening between now and Christmas a decorated window is lit up around the village and on Christmas eve carollers visit each one of them. (That's my blips sorted for the next 23 days lol!) My friend Clare who lives in Saltaire was chosen to have an advent window last year and she did a Narnia themed one - and I very gleefully helped her make her snowflakes!
For some reason there are 7 number 1 windows this year - which is a bit excessive I thought…. and not unlike Alfie NO! the beagle - who has eaten all Amelia's chocolate advent calendar today….. Chino just rolls his eyes and shakes his head in despair!
A lovely cosy evening, none of us completed the book 'The Island' this month except fellow blipper Fizzerella - who read most of it whilst knitting a donkey ….what a lady!
This month's read is 'The Chaffinch' by Donna Tartt… a chunky one by all accounts but come Christmas I plan to have my feet up and enjoy curling up with a good book! :)

Update…. make that the Goldfinch - not Chaffinch…. similar lol !!! :)
