Christmas Bookclub

Pia had gone all out to make it a festive evening with lots of Dutch delicacies and decorations. We all chipped in with something or other. My responsibility was The Scottish Cocktail which has become a firm favourite. It certainly brought a bit of a glow to some cheeks.

I had managed a whole 320 pages of The Swedish Girl that I had been falling to read for the last two months. A great read by the way.

Power came back on just before 01:00 this morning after which we had the delights of the alarm on a vacant house across the road for almost five hours before I gave up and got up. Lots of bleary eyed Blairgowrians could be seen this morning. Hopefully that's the end of the power challenges, at least for a while.
