Fire and nature

Such a wonderful day with my boys. We set out early to my office. They hadn't seen my office move and remodel yet. They now have their own table, stool and white board with markers. They also have a spot on my bookshelf with some books. They had the best time while I attempted to get caught up on some work.

We then headed over to the dreadful, but necessary Walmart and purused its isles for awhile. I picked up some random items. I found some fantastic yarn for knitting hats. One is a nice chrome while the other is a deep red. I'm going to knit a red hat with a chrome stripe and a chrome hat with a red stripe for the boys.

By the time we got home, it was time for the boys to take a nap. My husband had been out at a farm getting some manure for our garden and was working steadily outside. I decided to kick back and knit. It was great. I learned how to do the twisted rib knit, and I'm hoping it turns out.

This evening my husband was burning some random wood pieces and paper, so the boys wanted to go outside and check it out. I took advantage of the odd red light the fire put off while the sky was still a bit dusky. I used my trusty dandelion as my subject with my nifty 50mm for some cool fire bokeh.

I was happy to be warm for a bit too.
