Grey Go-away-bird (Corythaixoides concolor)

I tried to go on a Blipwalk this afternoon, but about 5 minutes from home I heard and felt something strange!! Nothing concrete, but an awareness! The sky looked strange and the horison, over the dam, looked mysteriously misty, and then I realised what it was!!! A terrible windstorm approaching from the south-west!

I turned back home, but I got a few pictures of two hadedas on the glassfibre roof of the third floor of one of the houses in the neighbourhood, and then I saw this very shy bird sitting high in a tree close to our house, with some 'building materials' in his beak! He battled like crazy to stay put, the tree was swaying in the wind, and his hairstyle was quite upset!! ;-)
