curled up cooch

Christmas lights switch on this afternoon so we were busy picking up 350 mince pies to hand out to the community with our church Christmas service leaflets and setting up our little stall. Zeke decided to feed at just the right time so that we could get down there for a few hours (although Grandad was kindly doing my duties for me). Zeke also met Auntie Victoria and Uncle Andrew and finally we had visitors, Pam and Iain, some of Mum's oldest friends.

I was ready to collapse by the end of the day. Having all the family around is so lovely but I feel Mum's absence even more keenly when we are all together. Add some crazy new Mummy hormones and sleepless nights and you get a slightly (okay very) befuddled version of me. A few hours kip helped straighten out my mood and you can't be permanently sad when this little creature curls up on you and Evie B begs you to "sing a rainbow" one more time to help her sleep - the little people are blessings despite the temporary exhaustion.
