The end of a glorious day!

L and I went to Edinburgh today to visit our niece and see her new flat. We visited the German Market, took a ride on the big wheel from where we could see the right over the city. This ride, which had a long, long queue, is not for those with a nervous disposition! The Scott Monument, which L and I climbed this afternoon - 287 steps up and 287 steps down - is captured just behind the ride. The view from the top of the monument was quite spectacular as the sun began to set behind the castle. The photo of that is on my other site.
