Up, breakfasted, tent packed away and on the bus by 7am! Amazing how getting up early on holiday doesn't bother you!

Walked about 3k from Oponini to Omapere along the beach, before heading to Waipoua Forestto see the Kauri trees. They are enormous, very difficult to describe and show the scale of them.

Had lunch in Dargaville (Kumra chips...yum!) then onto Orewa to camp by the beach. We were meant to go to some thermal pools there but they'd shut early as it was labour weekend!
