Hospital #2

Went to visit Mum again today. She's feeling (though not looking) much better. The antibiotics still haven't helped. They now suspect it's an allergic reaction to "something" rather than an infection. The "something" has yet to be identified. She may be home tomorrow if the next lot of treatment starts to work. She's stable for now and not critical. Although it's not pleasant it's not something really "serious" so I can sleep easier tonight.

There were several other visitors for her today which certainly kept her spirits up. I had to go straight to work last night after 5 hours at the hospital and worked till 2am, so was suitably shattered. Helped to keep my mind off it though. Times like this I tend to withdraw and get quiet so it was good to keep busy.

After other visitors had left we took Mum down to the hospital coffee shop. Enjoyed the chocolate twist and tea featured above. My life seems to be filled with good confectionary at the moment. Came home to discovered more home-made cup-cakes. Every cloud; silver lining.
