Aspen

I've spent most of the day doing very little, which was just what was needed.

Only popped out as far as the Foot of the Walk but thought I'd got a blip on my way back across the Links - a distant view of the backs of two kilted and booted Scotsmen striding off in the direction of Murrayfield for the rugby. However, just as I was taking aim, a women with small children hove into the frame and I had to desist.

So I just looked up and saw this aspen tree soaking in the sunlight - no sign of buds yet, but it won't be long now. The photo only gives a faint impression of the flood of light that my eyes perceived.
