Today's the day .................... for a brief encounter

Went to a wonderful gig tonight at Carnforth Station - once the setting for that equally wonderful film - Brief Encounter.

We went to see the very talented Jennifer Crook and her backing musicians who are just coming to the end of a countrywide tour that began in September. The reason why Carnforth Station was included as a venue was because Jennifer has written a song with that title. In fact it's the title song on her new CD that is the focus of the tour so there's no way she could not go there.

I couldn't help thinking that my good friend BernardPoet would have enjoyed it tonight. Apart from the fact that it was a great night of absolutely brilliant, original music - there are a few things in this picture that reminded me of him.

He'll know what I mean ......................!
