My favorite room for the holidays

Our living room, as decorated by Brody and Belle, as evening falls over our lake. I love sitting in this room with my book or knitting in front of the fire...another one of the things I'm thankful for today.

We spent the day with our oldest friends because one had lost his father this week. We were all celebrating a long life well lived, eight children, many grand and great-grandchildren...and he joined the woman he loved and had been married to for over 65 years. Not a bad legacy.
