tribute

Cricketer Philip Hughes died on Thursday from critical injuries sustained when he was hit on the neck just below his helmet by a cricket ball.
He was 25 and on the verge of a recall to the Australian Test Team to play India in the upcoming Test Series.
As a tribute, cricket bats have been placed at front doors, schools, ovals and even Parliament House.
Sad to say though on the news tonight the bat of young lad placed outside his house was stolen! The mind boggles.

Thoughts too must surely be with the young bowler who bowled the ball that hit Hughes.
What a split second to have to live with.

A stark reminder that even in sport people die including over 300 jockeys in Australia since the mid 1800s.
