History

My office is located in a school built in 1930 and is usef today as a Leisure Centre. Some of the elderly residents who come to our classes or other functions happening here, tell us stories of their time as a child at the school.
It appears although a mixed school the boys and girls had separate playgrounds, milk at break time had to be paid for, the cane was in use, and in the winter the hall was extremely cold for P.E.
The blip is a painting on the wall in the hall where P.E. took place. I think the painting is 1950.
