Low visibility diving

This is the dive slate after our recreational dive today in Old Road Bay. Extensive conversations were had about where we were - where we should have been -and whether either of us knew what the hell direction we needed to go in. All good practice and entertaining. The visibility ranged from 2m to 1m after some serious swell had come through.

Luckily I had a fantastic snorkel in the morning after our shore bird survey. I started freediving on the reef balls where 3 inquisitive Queen Triggerfish kept me company and a new lobster had moved in the bottom as well as juvenile Drum. Then we saw the Turtle as well as a huge school of small bra Jacks under the yacht moored in Isles Bay, then the Turtle and finally a school of Ballyhos (a type of needlefish).

I foolishly swam out to the Coral Cay boat where Kenny and Claire (the field base managers) were trying to get the engine to work. I ended up swimming back with the fuel tank in some choppy waves... But it was fun to watch their Laurel and Hardy act (sorry guys).

A very good day.
