Dubai Motor Festival

Had a great service at Church and a little bit of time for lunch at home before heading out to Meydan (where the Dubai World Cup is held) to see the cars come in from the Grand Parade which took place today. A convoy of hundreds of high-end cars and bikes and unusual vehicles with some classic cars thrown in.

When we arrived, there were already several thousand people waiting for the cars to come in. In the meantime, we saw several Rolls Royce's, the Bat-mobile (above), loads of other luxury cars and some bike stunts.

And then in the evening, we went to our friends Miriam and Suguna for a BBQ... our longstanding friends from the church we used to go to were there. A very pleasant evening with good food and company! Altogether, a very nice day!

PS. The City skyline you see in the back is actually several kilometres away! I just had to have Burj Khalifa in the frame...
