Today's the day that the American discount day Black Friday finally became a thing in the UK. It's been bubbling for a few years but it's exploded this time.

Watch out next for Cyber Monday and then perhaps next year, Singles Day (a Chinese sales day on November 11).

Oh and the reason Black Friday is called that, because it's the day American retailers traditionally go into the black, anything from now until the end of the year is pure profit.
