major reorganizing....

A friend of mine, who used to be a potter here on the Island, has decided to move in another direction...so some or equipment etc was up for sale! Yeah, i got a slab roller - now this might not sound too exciting, but believe me, to a potter it is magic! i haven't had a slab roller (other than a large rolling pin) for about 7 years now.....so i'm excited to get back into making all sorts of slab constructed pieces. So this has pushed me into reorganizing - and cleaning - the studio!

Terry and Richard helped me this morning by moving all the old boxes of trimmings...some 'good' potters reclaim their clay...i've always been in the 'bad' category...too labor intensive and very very nasty job indeed! So, i end up with boxes of the stuff. i have managed to give a lot of it away to another friend who is rekindling her love of pottery....so it's going to a good cause. But it's a lot of shit work......and now that the clay is gone, and Terry and i have a plan as to how to incorporate this rather large piece of equipment...i just need to do a lot of decluttering! this will be very soul cleansing...i'm in a ruthless mood!

So this is a before shot! Might take me a few days!
