Storm

At lunchtime the sky turned very dark. I grabbed in the washing just in time as a hailstorm hit, and I mean hit!

I dashed about trying to cover the lettuces in two parts of the garden. The hailstones hurt as they struck my head. Then there was rain, real West Coast type rain, 11mm in about five minutes. I took this shot through a wet window.

The lettuces were saved, but the poppies were wrecked.
