Puddings and pies

Until today, we hadn't given Christmas much thought - because we've been too busy getting ready to move house.

Until 10 days ago, we thought we'd be moving tomorrow - 28th. Then moving day changed to 12th December. But it won't be happening at all - in the near future, anyway.

We've decided not to let the b*****ds get us down - and to concentrate on enjoying the festive season. So, after Job No. 2, I located my trusty Good Food Magazine (from way back in 2000) with a view to making a list of ingredients for Christmas puddings and mince meat. Need to look up the recipe for the chocolate fruit cake too! Some time soon the house will be filled with the delicious aroma of dried fruit soaking in alcohol.

But not until after Saturday afternoon - need to clean the house before then, ready for a viewing... Ho hum!
