A different kind of blip
Bubble detector mark 2. This time using a microphone to detect the blip sound and counting the number of blips per minute. SR thought I was going a bit bonkers as I sat at the kitchen table making various strange noises testing it. It didn't work for a while until I realised the microphone- which had come pre-soldered to the amplifier board had a dry joint. Once I had re-soldered it in it worked fine. So far as you can just see on the Mac it counts individual blips and blips per minute. At the moment the testing has been only simulated - by me saying "blip". Hope to test it in the brew shed tomorrow or at the weekend with a real fermentation.
