Lamb
A first war veteran, troubled by physical and mental scars from the trenches William Lamb was friends with Hugh MacDiarmid amongst others.
A gifted water colourist, printmaker and sculptor, Lamb often used locals as his subjects.
The Minesweeper is just one of his legacies. Seemingly the leaning man was tasked with the looking out for mines drifting ashore on the Montrose coastline.
