Waiting for Dinner

This Northern Cardinal sat on this branch for the longest time. I thought that was unusual because they usually don't just "hang out". The bird feeder was empty and I think he was waiting for me to fill it up (which I did).

BTW - This birding habit is getting to be expensive. We are going through 20lbs of bird seed a week!
