Airport lounge?

Actually this is shanghai railway station. It is HUGE and laid out exactly like an airport terminal. A 45 min taxi ride to the suburbs leads to the bullet train station, next to the regional airport. Bags and cases (and humans) get scanned, you then proceed to a terminal gate and wait outside until the gates open.

Super clean and very efficient. Shanghai to beijing takes 5 hours at average speed of 300km per hour. A reclining seat, a fold out table and a foot rest and more leg room than any economy plane seat
I got a weird peach juice and a bag with odd looking jelly sweets as part of my seat package. I left them behind!
