I'm pretty proud that instead of buying expensive ready made stain, I made my "translucent white stain" by diluting inexpensive white primer with water (1:1 or so). I did two layers of brushing and wiping, one yesterday and one today. Finishing tomorrow.

I like my rough and creaky white stairs.
