Three of Five

Out for a cuppa with MT and it changed into a pot of tea with a lovely bit of gingerbreadman cheesecake for me and snowball cheesecake for MT in The Original Edinburgh Cheesecake Company in Corstorphine. First time I've been and will be back again, as long as Waitrose doesn't get its way!

News alert from The National WeeDragon still can't make omelettes!

I know that really isn't the real front page news, however, it's true, my omelettes are disasters. I'm no cook, tends to be chop'n'bung-it-in meals and hope for the best :-P

Blip a mug of my home-made soup: handful of lentils, yellow split peas, barley; one leek & a carrot; bit of butter, some sea salt, add water to thickness required; second day always better - thicker with barley.

Omelette disaster: eggs, water and mixed herbs, wee bit o butter so it doesn't stick, impatience = ends up stirred into a kind of scrambled eggs with mushrooms and peppers mixed in. Tasty but doesn't look appetising. Added last of beetroot salad and Florida salad, forgot 2 oatcakes(eat them later!)

I am grateful for the food for myself and to be able to buy a treat out for myself and a friend.
