Lionel visiting the Little Mermaid

We flew from Bristol for a very enjoyable weekend in Copenhagen, where we were joined by our son, Danish daughter-in-law, and granddaughter, from their home near Århus.
On Friday, the sun came out, after days of cloud and rain....
Because L and I had never seen the Little Mermaid, although we had been to Copenhagen before, the five of us made a pilgrimage there - only to find that many other pilgrims had got there first, taking it in turns to have their photographs with her!
(The usual pictures of her show her in isolation, as though on a rock far out towards the sea; in fact, her rock is close to the edge of the harbour, and easy to stand beside as in this picture!)
