This may seem a random image. But it's one of those "unimportant" but significant moments that I probably wouldn't record were it not for blip. Today for the first time she wanted to go into the changing room at swimming on her own and get herself sorted on her own. It needs a little work. She insisted on flinging the garments out to me one by one as she got undressed. But hey, step by step!

She had her first little sort of filling today at the paediatric dentist. He was exceptional with her. Really very good. And consequently, she was incredibly brilliant. Just let the dentist get on with it, all over in 5minutes and not a tear, trouble or difficulty. He praised her for her extremely clean and well cared for teeth and told me he thinks she has a deficiency in the enamel. I dropped her back to school and with no drama (which came as a touch of a surprise as she'd had a cry on the way to the dentist about not wanting to go back to school. Apparently once at school, lots of her friends wanted to inspect what she'd had done.

Flying visit to our neighbour for a cup of tea and some picture framing of portraits Id done for them, which pleased Katie as she got to run off and play with her wee friend. She fell asleep snuggled up beside me as I talked to her grandad on the phone.
