Old Altrincham & a life changing moment!

This building used to be called The Downs and was a really nice, old fashioned pub dating back to the 1800's. About 40 years ago I had an interview in this building and was offered a job that literally changed my life. It was with a then little known computer company called Hewlett Packard as a Sales Engineer and my life changed forever! I can honestly say that everything I have become I can trace back to that fateful day in an old "country" pub in Altrincham. Funny how things turn out isn't it...
