Serious Business

This is the meeting of our street community with Mario, our secretary, explaining the proposal to close the street with gates to make it more private and safer. This and other topics have been hot potatoes for years but we managed to reach unanimous support for the idea which has been approved by the local authority after a long process.

The last agenda point was to elect our new President, and I was somewhat surprised to be the only person proposed and unanimously acclaimed. I'm quite proud of it in a way being the first foreigner in the street's history to hold the position and at a time when many important matters require to be pushed through. My term of two years begins on the 1st of January.
