barnacle goose

Saw this (small) goose swimming in a pond, all by itself. No relatives to be seen. In the winter they can be spotted al over Ireland, the westcoast of Scotland and the northseacoast of the Netherlands and Germany. In summer they go back to their breadinggrounds at the polar circle. Since the provence of Drenthe is by far not a northseacoast area, I guess this one got lost a little. Hope it can "bark" loud to find his family again, since he sounded like a dog with a bad cold. ( It even looks it has got a cold, Can't tell if its a nasaldrip or a beakdrip. eighter way I didn't have any tissues with me to help him out)
Did like the little one very much and it posed well for me, unlike this buzzerd which was screeming: get out of my area! Couldn't blame him since he was chasing a very pretty ladybuzzerd...I got the message, got in my car and drove of. Little dissapointed 'cause I hoped to get me a nice "EzHighway" blip. Not this time I'm afraid
