Winter colours

I'm not going to deny that in Orkney we get plenty of drab grey winter days or days when it seems the sun can't be bothered to even try but we also get more than our fair share of days when there is such an intensity of colour it smacks you between the eyes.

I don't think either of these pics did the colours justice, they are quite dull in comparison to the real thing.
