Grenoble in the Alps.
Ten days ago, this little cable car broke down in the air and the twenty people on board had to be winched up into a helicopter. The rescue lasted 8 hours!!!
Luckily we were informed about that mishap once we had got back to dry land:-)

Then a lunch in the sun beckoned.

Ps: the straight avenue you can see in this image is the longest in Europe I was told.
