Winter

The gentle song of a winter robin,
determined to hold on to its
little slice of the tree
upon which it perches.

The old man of the playing field
leans his ear to the pleasant tune,
as his aching limbs awake
to an armour of ice.

Yet hush now, there is the sun;
it's gentle ray's determined to make an impression
of greater consequence
than the freezing temperature is prepared to grant.

Winter.
