Orbit
I spent a lovely day with three of my favourite ladies today. With me in Essex, two in London, and one in Cardiff; we don't get the chance to all hang out at once much these days. We surprised ourselves and stayed around Stratford for the whole day! The day kicked off with a restorative tea before heading up the Orbit. It was a grey, drizzly day so we didn't get the best views, and were disappointed by the lack of bar up the top! It was really interesting to look over the Olympic Park (and the mess it's now in), and on a clear day, the view would be incredible. One of the best features were the specially designed mirrors that turned the skyline upside down. After descending, we went over to Westfield and spent a long and lazy lunch, helped along with loads of cocktails as we'd stumbled upon happy hour. I could have stayed there all day! We braved the Westfield crowds for a quick trip to one of the shops, before making a sharp exit. The Iron Maidon pub called, followed by Wetherspoons and then the packed train home.
