New coat of paint - Tom Waits

While I was out at work today Roz started painting the living room. My part of the job was taking down all the pictures in case there were spiders hiding behind them (there weren't) and moving the speakers because they're really heavy.

We kind of knew it needed freshening up but it's not until you shift paintings that it really sinks in how much you need to paint.

Other than this today has been a day of mixed emotions. I finally got a permanent contract which is fantastic. It will be great to finally get paid through the holidays and to get rid of the slight nerves every summer as to how many hours will be there for you after the holiday.

On the negative side it was announced that Optimo will finish up at the end of April. The timing is dreadful as finally I'd have had the income to justify several Sunday nights out in Glasgow during my summer holidays.
