A Star is Born ...

I took this blip in Christmas City as I walked between meetings in town today. I had not realised the terraced booths of Christmastide spill all the way from Princes Street to the very shores of the now drained Noor Loch - aka Waverley Station.

My business colleague who flew up from the south to meet with me today was mightily impressed by it all. I must guard against being too cynical about the commercialism of our Christmas.

My reference to a new star today is to mark the launch of The National a new printed and online Title that is being tested today, in Scotland, for a week. If it proves to be a popular addition to the newsstands, its Pro Independence voice will become a publishing fixture.

I tried to buy a copy today but like the proverbial hot cakes (or bannocks) they had all long gone!
