Another Sunday

I was up early at my flat, and drove round the M25 and up the A12 to arrive at Mum and Dad's home in Tiptree by half past ten. Mum and I had an early Sunday roast at the local carvery before our daily journey to the hospital to visit Dad. He seemed in fairly good spirits, and was pleased to have the portable CD player I'd dug out of the bottom of a cupboard at my flat. If he can master the controls, he'll be able to listen to some of his favourites from the Classic FM 4-CD boxed set I found in his collection at home. I also brought in prints of the pictures I took of Mum and Dad's anniversary bouquets, plants, balloons and special chocolate plaque to show Dad, as they don't allow flowers in the wards so he didn't get a chance to see them for real. Nothing to report on his medical progress, as the hospital is always quiet at the weekends with no specialist doctors to give an update on the current situation.

There's been no time or opportunity to take a decent blipfoto all day, so it'll have to be one of the carnations from the bouquet I gave Mum and Dad for their anniversary last week.
