The New Me

What a day! I am completely exhausted.

It was raining cats and dogs when we drove to the Dog Oasis this morning. It takes nearly an hour, since we need to go to another city. Not because there aren't any where we live, but because we know and like Johanna. Well, maybe I don't like her, exactly.

I have entered the "poodle knot age", when my soft and silky baby fur creates loads of trouble before growing into a rougher, adult one. Very quickly a shorter version of the classic puppy lamb was agreed on. Mum went out while I spent what felt like a very long time on the trimming table. I had really earned the McDonald's takeout that we shared before heading home. Fries!

And then tonight, we went to our friend altopiano's geocaching event. It was about exchanging crime novels with other geocachers. There were two other dogs there that I had never met before, and in the darkness, everything including them was a bit scary. We had a great time, mum getting tons of advice and me getting duck liver treats. I even consented to saying hello to the dogs in the end. Now we sleep.
