On-Off

I was asked to set up a demo of a system that I installed to allow some things to be done across 2 sites. Easy - except that the demo kept getting postponed until after everything had been consolidated on one site.

So I was then asked to set it up so that the demo had no impact on the operation in London, and worked across the sites, as it had in the past. Everything was in place to do this with a test to prove that it had no impact, initially scheduled for next Tuesday being brought forward to Monday to allow a member of senior management to be present to witness it. The demo would then take place on the Wednesday.

All was looking good, the client whose system it was gave the OK, after a little persuasion. Then an unrelated issue caused by a third party meant the client got cold feet and withdrew permission.

So it's been on off on off, like these switches.
