The Newbury War on Pedestrians

One of the side-effects of the large amount of construction currently going on in Newbury is the Newbury War on Pedestrians, of which this image is just a small part. I have lost count of the number of times the end of Newbury high street near my office has been dug up, each time squeezing pedestrians through these tight mazes of barriers. I'm sure it's all for the greater good of Newbury, but it is annoying. This one in particular currently spits the pedestrians out right in to the path of oncoming traffic.
