My women's choral ensemble, Allegra, had a very special opportunity this evening: our own amazing soprano, Wendy D. is the organizer and mastermind behind "Angels of Music", a musical extravaganza put on each year to raise funds for Assumption Church, in Bellingham. This year, she invited Allegra to sing at the event.

The range of talent onstage this evening was nothing short of amazing, once again demonstrating what a culturally rich community we have here in Bellingham. In addition to performing two solos on his own, bassoonist Martin Kuuskmann surprised (and delighted) us by joining in on our piece! What an honor to share the stage with this world-class musician!

The evening concluded with several of the singers, wearing habits, along with Father Scott Connolly in a rousing Grand Finale. All in all, it was a great performing experience for our small ensemble, and an inspiring evening we won't soon forget.
